Is the Spirit of Grungni stronger than regular thunderbarges and does the red line of skills affect it?
Also wondering if when auto resolving, does the balance of power get affected by it since it's technically an ability?

Spells and abilities doesn't affect a result of battle if you use auto resolve. So if you want to have advantage of using Grungni or any other spell, play by your hands.

Skills normally do not affect summoned units like zombies. So if the airship is the same i would assume it is not affected by the red line.

Spirit of Grungni must add a significant buff to your overall power, so if you are facing a 'valiant defeat' autoresolve and fight it out, do you think you could easily get a phyrric or close victory with the spirit ability?

so a normal thunderbarge might be overall more powerful once you take the redline skills.

Probably slightly more powerful. I do not know how the red line affect thunderbarges as i don't play dwarves. In most cases in the game the red line is better for melee units than for ranged units, however.

If you want to compare untis, just right-click on any unit icon, and you will see all available units (but without buffs from your lords or technologies).
If you play by your hands, you can summon spirit of grungni and you have much better results that by auto resolve.
But very often auto resolve works really bad. For example, if you fight 1 vs more than 1 army, you can place your units around point (if this point is not far away), from which enemy reinforcements arrive, and these reinforcements will be stacked together on small territory, and you can easily kill them with aoe-damage. Especially this works good when there are 1 or more full enemy armies and 1 army with few units. You can esily win, but auto resolve says, that it will be total defeat.
