Slayer of Kings, or Sword of Khaine for Archaon?

What would you say is better?
I currently have equipped the Armour of Morkar, The Eye of Sheerian, Crown of Everlasting Conquest (0.2% regen per second), and a rod of torment.

I can't decide which weapon would be better to use.
The sword of Khaine is obviously insane as long as you can deal with the diplomatic and control malus.
The crazy high AP damage, and ward save make you incredibly tanky and a 1 v 1 machine, even without taking the active ability cortex into consideration.

The Slayer of Kings doesn't come close passively, but it's active ability puts it more or less on par with the Sword of Khaine for 25 seconds, and it has +50% splash attack power making you more useful against blobs.

The ward save is the kicker really.
It's hard to pass up that massive 30% ward save.
I just don't know if overall the Slayer of Kings splash attacks would mitigate more damage by just killing blobs faster with splash attacks, rather than soaking the damage via ward save, and tediously killing armies a couple units at a time (without vortex spells.)

The answer is obvious, Sword of Khaine. Get yourself a banner of rage, as well, for the ultimate cheeselord Archaon one-man doomstack.

sword of khaine has the rampage vortex spell that recharges in melee, that with archaons spells will allow you to clear most infantry, and cavalry without to much trouble.. diplomacy doesn't really matter all that much with chaos. everyone already kinda hates you. those who don't you can still work with. the nemesis crown is the one that really sinks your diplomacy imo.

He doesn't need it, he's plenty strong on his own. It's better to give it to non legendary lord. Daemon prince of nurgle would be a good bet for example.

As another poster mentioned, give the Sword of Khaine to a different lord. Let Archaon use the Slayer of Kings.

I tend to leave stuff like the sword of khaine or the chainsword to characters that do not already have a good unique weapon, so I would go for slayer of king for Archaon, and then if you really get your hands on the Sword of Khaine, take it with a strong melee lord that does NOT have a unique weapon already
