Dechala has always been depicted in full armor. They’ve made her better than her OG model at least that thing was ugly
armor isn't the issue she just lacks any spark that lord usually brings visually so far she looks what a female-snake lord would look like, but not a legendary character in any case.
Hopefully when her model will have more spark when its animated, the current art is a

Hard disagree, the Bloodwrack Medusa model doesn't come anywhere close to Dechala's model. Any good faith comparison between the two would obviously conclude that Dechala's model is vastly superior. The Medusa model looks like a children's toy, Dechala looks genuinely terrifying.
I think it was smart of CA to not go with that kind of design for Dechala and instead focus on accentuating her monstrous and mutated features. She is supposed to be an immensely cruel and depraved creature who leads a warband called "The Tormentors", giving her a cutesy upper body design would have severely lessened the fear factor she exudes currently.
