but i would say priority number one is always kill the rats and farm the trait while you kill the first enemy.
meaning you take the first two towns ignore the last one in province and move up north to the rats...
While you build the defending army ostanka main army can easly kill everything on her own with her hag budy with range attacks and aoe spells...

Because a lot of her animal units are a little squishy, I find a Dark Elf-ish kite strategy works well with Mother O. Most of her units including herself are fast enough to kite efficiently and/or have Strider for even more mobility. She even has "Shades" in the Akshinas.
Try to beat down Astragoth early, Grimgor will most lilkely attack him if he gets weak enough, then leave him to his fate as you focus on Arbaal, which will probably be your biggest challenge. If you can do all this, the rest of Kislev and Malakai should be able to hold your western flank while you focus on Chaos.
Taking out the occupying faction in the starting province is straightforward. One just needs to grab that undeveloped province before the other Kislev faction does. But I keep getting Chaos factions wanting to attack me with full stacks of mostly regiment of renown units (how do they have so many so early in the game?). In my first attempt the Dwarfs provided a nice barrier between me and them. In the second they were quickly eliminated.
Still getting a handle on the new faction mechanics, which are nice. Just struggling to expand and keep settlements. Admittedly, you are placed in a terrible location with respect to all the enemies to the north. I find it odd as a Kislev faction that you have to research snow attrition.
