"DualShockers has learned"
"Reportedly"
"allegedly"
We had way too many "leaks" and "confirmations" in the last years, including a "WW I TW which will release VERY SOON (tm)" and the "Lords of Shang-Yang DLC which will be next for TW:WH III!!!".
If there is one thing we can take away from this: Do not believe anything until CA themselves are making an announcement. Way too much clickbait regarding the future of the franchise otherwise.
Not a big fan tbh.
I like SW strategy games, EaW if I recall correctly is a good game.
But that’s gonna drain so much of their development potential, I fear WH40k (or SWTW, or both) will suffer from a lack of focus.
So easy to mess up with 2 massive projects, they already messed up quite a lot with WH fantasy TW in the past, so…
But yeah, we’ll see… 😒
I want WH40k, most & foremost, and better than the trilogy we’ve got.
I would really feel reassured if it wasn’t true, frankly.
SWTW would be cool, but not both together, that’s a recipe for a disaster imo.
Hopefully it’s just a rumour…
They might explore the idea in a conceptual stage only to throw it in the can later, hardly unusual.
The SW franchise is HUGE and has tons of fans!
If they could pull it off a SWTW game would be pure gold to the shareholders of CA and probably be the biggest money maker in TW History!
After-all... Money Talks!
There's still a rabid fan base!
Here is a wild idea that I personally hope the devs follow; "Make a game you want to make and are passionate about"
Shareholders that have no interest in the actual game will problaby love your idea though
For me SW is crap since Disney bought it from G Lucas early 2010’s.
Except maybe some of the anime series like Clone Wars, Bad batch, SW rebels & stuffs, the rest, SPECIALLY the movies since are just crap.
So I don’t care, 40K has a much thicker lore and complexity, SW is much more naive and child oriented than 40k, and as they already did WH fantasy they have all the tools and expertise they need to make 40k TW right after WH3TW is over.
Who needs SWTW anyway ?
Empire at war is a great game very similar.
Disney should just partner with that studio to do a EaW2, that would the best solution.
Cuz it’s a great strategy game despite it’s getting old.
There is far enough to do with 40k TW for CA to not get involved in both, which could lead to 2 mediocre or unfinished IPs that would just compete with one another.
It’s dum, let’s focus on what’s work, and that is by far TWWH3 now & since years for CA, it’s their primary milking cow.
The natural evolution to that is naturally 40k TW,
SW is just something else and it’s much less appealing than 40k as soon as you know the lore between both.
So no, sry friend, even if the rumours are flowing about SWTW, it’s a terrible idea compared to double down on what is already working for CA, which is warhammer and the partnership they have with Games Workshop.
But hey, am just a fan since many years of warhammer lore(s) & TW franchise, what do I know ?
Surely some management big brain gonna see it very differently, or will not see the danger trying to do both franchises in parallel and risk of failing with both cuz of that, etc.
If it’s not just a rumour ofc…
In anycases, SWTW is not a good idea.
WH40k TW is a much better choice, SW can GTFO, you won’t make me change my mind on that, sry.
