Really the best thing to do is just browse around the workshop and see if there's something that fits what you're looking for. There's a bunch of UI mods that can change how things look.
What you're asking for is vague too. You simply want a campaign camera that can go higher? Or you want to see improved campaign map lighting, more settlements on the map, etc. That is all stuff you can easily find with a simple search on the workshop.
You know your own preferences best, and whatever you want chances are that there's a mod for that, just gotta look.
But in case you didn't, you should check a bit your graphs game configuration. Could explain its render.
