Queen Bess cannon?
I have 1 in my main army, I can do a rite that says that another one will be available for another army, but every time I do the rite again the cannon simply doesn't appear in any recruitable option at all.
Whole game with just 1 Queen bess?

Yeah, only one at a time, even thought the game doesn't tell you that (but it let you spend the money no problem in the ritual again and again)

Is this the only unit in the game that can exist only as a sole unit?

The Queen is a RoR unit, and as every one of them, is a "one at a time only" unit. The problem is the misleading text: "A Queen Bess unit will become available for recruitment into any army." CA should make it more clear, but that's it.
