Minor Factions of Old Races in Game 3
As the title implies, where would the races from the first and second game could be on the map? Give me your thoughts and ideas on this.

It depend to a fair extent how big the Game 3 map is.....

I can see, from the south up...

Imrik, Eshin and lizards on the south coast.
Further groups of Skaven and Greenskins up the western edge, the flanks of the WEM.
Possibly Karak Kadrin next to Kislev?
Norscan marauders in the north-west, between Kislev and Daemons.
And beastmen hordes, further greenskins, filling in the gaps between ogres/daemons/chaos dwarfs.
Possibly Dogs of War could wander though as well, starting in the Pigbarter area...

Keep in mind, I don't have that extensive of fantasy battle lore besides stuff I've looked up every now and then, so I may be wrong on a few things.

Empire - If they are going to be in base game 3's map, they'll likely be located south west of Kislec on the very left edge of the map and/or have some embassy or trade-like settlements near Cathay's territory. Besides that though, there's really no where else for them to be until dlc adds in expeditionary LLs.

Greenskins - I think the main locations for their minor settlements will be in and around Ind, Ogre Kingdoms, and Cathay as Cathay is known for fighting greenskins every now and then. I could also see them adding in some green skin armies in the mountains around the darklands.

Dwarfs - Just about any area with a mountain will be prime restate for them. Though if Chaos Dwarfs do get added in as the preorder race you can definitely expect a good amount of minor faction dwarfs near the chaos dwarfs territory.

Vampire Counts - Mainly darklands as that's where neferata lives, though they may also have territory near kislev and Cathay as both have a history dealing with vampires. Though in Cathay's case, they have a unique type of vampire called Jade-blooded vampires so they may just end up being a Cathay dlc subfaction.

Beastmen - Darklands, chaos wastes, and Ind.

Chaos Warriors - Chaos Wastes and maybe the Chaos realm

Bretonnia - I think the only way bretonnia can be added is through an expeditionary force(similar to Repanse) at either the coast of the darklands or the edge of the chaos wastes.

Wood Elves - Ind is definitely going to have a magic forest for them to be located at. I can also see there being a magic forest in Cathay and maybe a corrupted forest in the darklands.

Skaven - Prime locations would be Cathay and possibly Nippon if that territory ever gets added in. As for other locations, they can honestly be just about anywhere.

Darkelves - I can see darkelves having expeditionary forces in the darklands and Ind.

High Elves - I think these guys are very unlikely to make it into the game. The only place that I think could make sense for them would be either the dragon isles or Cathay as a trade settlement.

Lizardmen - Dragon Isles and Ind are the only locations that make sense for their minor factions, though I can definitely see a dlc lord being located near or in the Chaos realm.

Tomb Kings - I think the only location that makes sense for them is the darklands, and even then that only makes sense as a starting location of Khalidia due to her rivalry with Neferata.

Vampire Coasts - Anywhere on the Coast or Islands in the ocean

Norsca - North West of the map near the chaos wastes.

To add on to the post above me:

DE: if Nippon isn't going to be a race we can probably expect Dark Elves holding up there as a base of operations for raiding Cathay. Blessed Dread could be moved their for the combined map too.

HE/DE/Lizardmen: Dragon Isles will probably be on the map, so some 1-2 of those three could be there.

HE/Lizardmen/Beastmen: Assuming no Khuresh all three of these races could start there. HE occupies the very southern tip, and Lizardmen have reason to hold onto many parts of the region due to artifacts previously lost to the snakey beasts that occupy the various temples and ruins. Beastmen exist in the Far East, and the best place to put the main concentration would be between Ind and Cathay, as most non-Cathay Order races/factions will be north-west of Cathay.

Skaven: There's some Mors holdouts in the Mountains of Mourn due to treaties with the Ogre Kingdoms. Eshin could also appear in Cathay and Nippon. Maybe some Skaven in the Wolf Lands too. If Hell Pit is on the map (since it borders Kislev after all) we can expect Moulder there.

Greenskins: some near the Cathay area, placeholders to Cathay's north potentially, Grimgor's boyz in the Darklands/Mountains of Mourn, and a few rebel factions in the central Darklands for Chaos Dwarfs to fight when they're added (eventually).

Wood Elves: they'll have a holdout somewhere. There's a lot of potential spots to throw a magical forest between Plain of Bones, Ind, Khuresh, Cathay, and Nippon.

Brets: expeditionary force, they have no perma settlements in the Darklands/Far East. If Khuresh/Ind have a sizeable geographic map presence then expect a Bret faction in one of those two regions.

Note there's still a lot of unknowns that will affect what is placed where. We don't know how west the map extends, how far east, and how far south. Additionally we don't know if any more brand new races will be created for the new tabletop. Once we get a map and pre-order though you'll have a better answer.

Afaik Lokhir got his red swords while raiding in Ind so he might get moved in the game 3 ME map.
