Reliability very low despite having NO CONTRACTS??
WTF is wrong here, I have cancelled my nonaggression and trade agreements, waited for the next turn and declared war... 'very low' reliability.
Why? I am 1000% sure I declared wars before and there was no hit in reliability.

Usually you have to wait 10 turns, to dont lose reliability, after cancel an agreement.

You have to wait 10 turns before declaring war to avoid the reliability hit. I'm pretty sure it tells or shows you how many turns you need to wait before you declare war.

The non-aggression had run at least 10 turns because I did not get any 'you have to wait X more turns' message. So when I cancel it I should be able to attack even on the same turn.
Weird.

nope. you need to wait 10 turns AFTER BREAKING the agreement.
That should also be shown on the war declaration, if not, sounds like a bug.

The warning of how many turns you need to wait for after breaking ANY agreements to declare war is very easy to miss.
No, you have to wait 10 turns before cancelling an agreement to not take a reliability loss.
You ALSO have to wait 10 turns AFTER cancelling an agreement before declaring war to not take a reliability loss.

The ONLY way to NOT lose reliability by declaring war with NAPs/Trade Agreements is if they trespass and you click the "Get the heck out" button on the army and they choose to ignore it.

The other way is if the AI breaks the agreements, then there's no cooldown for you to declare war.

Ah I see, thanks. That's nasty.

Honestly, if you could break a NAP and attack immediately without repercussions... that would kind of make the NAP completely worthless lol. "I promise not to attack you until right before I choose to do so."

You mean like you can do a NAP then proceed to raid that person for no repercussion ? and the new mechanic to ask raiding army to go away is useless (and also doesn't work if you're in a defensive/military alliance, CA level of stupidity) because the AI always raid territory you can't properly defend against his army (and the AI is pretty good with his omniscient vision to know where you're the weakest).

All you get is -relations.
The new f-off mechanic allows you to wardec through an NAP (unsure about allies) w.o. losing relieability.

I declared war on Hexoatl and even though I haven't had any agreements with them ever, my realiability took a bad hit without a warning.
I think it was because, they had an allied faction with whom I had a trade agreement and when they joined the war, my reliability was effected. That means, you also have to watch out for agreements with allies of the faction who you want to declare war on.

I think there should at least be a warning for this.

I mean, it's literally what the AI does, but the AI cheats every other way too, so whatever, I guess.
