Chaos Dwarf Blunderbusses Not Working.
I would have expected CA to at least get the core units for this overpriced DLC working, but apparently not: The Blunderbusses more often than not just stand there, constantly switching between shields and gun despite the enemy being square in their sight.

yeah i have the same issue as well but when they shoot they actually shoot they melt everything lmao

You sure they got line of sight? No small hills in the way?

Absolutely nothing in the way, flat terrain in the middle of enemy settlement.

No obstructed or unable to fire marker on their unit card either, they just stand there completely stuck and constantly swapping weapons. When I move them they work like half the times for a few sec then break again

blunderbuss units, keep them at short to medium range, use hobgolin archers for long range sniping.

blunderbuss units will wreck anything that gets close to them
I have the same problem i get them 10 yards away they cant hit the target, i move my infantry everything out of the way never seen anything like it. Even when not obstructed

Yeah, indeed, this is highly frustrating, its like they ONLY shoot if you give a direct order.

I think the exact problem is the Blunderbuss AI, they seem to perform an animation to switch to shields and axes BEFORE the enemy charge actually reaches them which is total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, their still extremely powerful but yeah they have to me micro'd a bit.

This might be it. Swapped skirmish mode off and it reduced the issue significantly.
-It still happens from time to time tho.

I notice it too but it's not exclusive to that unit or even the faction. Every ranged unit in game 3 seems to be much more responsive when giving direct fire orders. if there is the tiniest obstruction or ally in the firepath they won't do anything unless right-clicking directly on target. When aware of it its easy enough to adjust accordingly tho. Bit more micro required

LoS issue, use this or another line of sight mod to fix until CA actually reverts gunpowder units to work how they used to in the last game

Skirmish mode on ?
They only have 90 range, most skirmishers starts to back off around that 80m mark or so.

Never had this problem after 3 campaigns totalling perhaps 25 hours. Gun units are undoubtedly better than they were. There may still be a few issues or obstructions that cause them not to fire, but I've never seen a unit approaching my front lines and not get a double blast of blunderbuss fire before either dying, running or, occasionally, reaching the dwarfs.

You are either using mods, have them on skirmish mode or you are specifically complaining about a single instance where they didn't fire.

Exactly, and they got skirmish mode on by default for some reason lol.
