Ikit Claw playthrough
Running into Morghur the Shadowgave on turn 4 is such BS. That lord is almost unkillable. Magic, Phys, and Ranged all do 1 damage of health to him and he regens. It took a solid 12 minutes to finally get him to route with a full 20 stack army against just him. Just busted.

mine were doing 1 damage a hit and ran out of ammo. he has 85% ranged damage reduction.
honestly, ignore him and go fight the the others to the east until you have an actual army that isn't skavenslaves to go back and beat him up.

I've had similar difficulties - ranged simply isn't the way to go against Morghur. Best way I've found is to shoot his army, then tie him up with one melee squad at a time while lords/heroes with magic attacks pile on him.

Had no trouble taking him out like this with Ikit and a magic-attacks assassin, but I did have a very difficult time using an army whose single entities were Warlock Master/non-magic assassin (close fight, I'd probably have lost it if not for playing co-op so had three people to split micro between).

Don't underestimate the amount of damage he deals just through proximity with his aura - it shreds, and keeping multiple squads in aura range of him is a very bad idea (even ones with smaller squad sizes, like weapons teams).

He also goes down like a chump in auto-resolve, because it doesn't understand how hard he counters most Skaven armies.

Either don't fight him at all (he likes it that you fight estalia), kill his army and make him rout or use heroes/lords to kill him. Don't shoot him and never engage him with trash in melee.

Its insane how hard he is right there at the start if you are trying to engage your initial enemy right next to you. Both him and the pirates on my right declared war on me by turn 6 so I restart and pushed to kill him early, but it hurt like hell.

Never fought him, always played nice and got diplomacy going and he goes north and eventually will either boom or bust on bretonia.

I'd also recommend the just not fighting him strat. Sack Estalia until it's razed and then push East towards Sartosa. You may also have luck with auto resolve if you use flamethrowers. Not sure why but flamethrowers always kill hundreds in auto resolve fights. Of course....you could always press the shiny red button yes! yes!

That tends not to work out for me cause he tend sot do that faster if not dealt with right off.

with ikit get food by sacking over and over and when you have enough food capture your first minor settlement of estia as tier 3 go straight for rattling guns get a good amount of them and then you're gonna shred everything

Go full skaven.

Try to aid him in a battle against Estalia.
Hold your forces back, let him fight the manlings and gobble up his army. When they are crowded in one spot to kill the last manlings nuke the whole army.
After the battle declare war on him in your turn and defeat his broken army.
