Silly Cb4n28. We all know that Rabbids and Mario is the pinnacle of strategy. The gaming awards tells us so.
More people play World of Maldcraft yet it didn't win in it's categories
To be honest Mario Rabbids is the best Xcom-like game after Xcom.
It is a really good game and one of the best of its genre.
And this is by one who don't give a ship about Mario or Nintendo.
I respect your opinion, but it's not even top 5 of best xcom like games. Best after Xcom would be Gears Tactics, this is in my opinion ofcourse.
It's besides the point as I don't find Xcom games to be strategy games. RNG is a fickle mistress that almost always laughs at me.
Warhammer 3 has RNG too, yet it is considered a strategy game.
For RNG I mean wheter you get that particular bug or not. And when.
No, RNG I mean missing a 99% pointblank shotgun shot, resulting in the death of your Colonel.
Or Thin men that can easily critically hit your soldiers even if you're in full cover. Eventhough they only have 75 aim and a mere 10% crit.
Or your unit panicking and RNG claims he throws a grenade at your own unit's.
Warhammer 3 is far more methodical.
"That's Xcom, baby"
Well played sir. You made me chuckle.
Then again strategy has gotten so small as a market they just include everything into it.
For me personally clearly the GOTY, but I'm ok with Dark Souls: Mounted Edition, since it was inevitable anyhow - whenever Miyazaki lets out a fart, there'll be someone with a flask in hot pursuit.
who can resist the curiosity for a fart
Marriott and Rabbits may be the best strategy game on switch, but this is PC Gamer
