So apparently Be'lakor will be "Chaos Unalligned" while he tries to become a propper god himself.

What's with Malal then? I really wanted him and his champion Kaleb Daark as a Anti-Chaos faction ^^

How hilarious would it be? Kaleb is ordered to kill all Greater Demons and destroy every Realm of Chaos, kill Be'Lakor and Malal is laughing! Now he just have to destroy the rest of the world and then... all of his followers!

If you know the first thing about Malal, you would also know why it can't ever happen as an official, approved release.

In fact, this is one of those things where I wonder if the company might even go so far as to shut down any mods that attempt to include that faction.

I know that Malal was an invention by John Wagner and Alan Grant and that they have the rights on him.

However, they brought back the Vampire Pirates, even Cathay, Kislev and Bretonnia, and these are squatted races in the first place.

It would be awesome to have a Malal faction. But honestly I guess its more likely for C.A to do pygmies than Malal.

Disregarding copyrights for a minute, do you really think the chaos of god of chaos (redundant I know) would be predictable and throw his hat in the ring?

Although, now that I think of it, there is a certain TW1 DLC that already needs updating and can be retrofitted to the unspeakable 5th chaos god and would make sense in Mortal Empires

Malal is super deep, old, cut and borderline not even canon.

Having Malal before Chorfs also....be real weird and we havent heard a peep about them officially yet for WH3...when seems like could of been central evil, not chaos-chaos, faction, and foil to Cathay (are supposed have largest empire in the canon ever smack dab where this campaign takes place) but ya...nothing yet about them yet, and then still got people much rather see Nippon, or Ind in some capacity than yet another chaos anything faction. Point being there, still got at least two core factions to play with (chorfs, and dogs of war) before start going into the more well known, but not actually from 8th edition armies like Ind and Nippon before have Malal on the table.

One of those things where fluff(anything not related to game rules) is sometimes x100 cooler than actual TT and army book fiction.

Well I think because this game is all about the four major gods, one Demon Prince that wants to become a proper god and another Demon Prince that wants... to serve the gods equally (?!), an Anti-Chaos-Chaos-God (haha ^^) would make some sense.

Hopefully they make a good mod for him >.>

Malal is deep-lore/not canon at this point. He's best used as fluff lore, and doesn't warrant any faction/legendary lord stuff.

In the OvN Faction Habinger of Doom are references to the minor deities of the Chaos gods (of order) like Zuvassin and Necoho.

He's literally not canon anymore.

Ok, so said, yes. But look at the non-canon characters CA added. For example Alistair the White Lion. Or Cavil... the not-Henry addon for our Bat-Elf. Or The White Dwarf. Or Repanse.

These are not characters whose copyrights belong to other people / companies like Malal.

The best you could ever hope for is some kind of "not-Kaleb not-Daark the Champion of totally-100%-not-Malal." If you ever do see a character called Kaleb Daark, you can pretty much guarantee he won't be connected in any direct way to an entity called Malal.

It would be illegal for them to include any direct references to Malal unless they paid to do so, and why would they do that when there are far more popular LLs and characters still left to include?

For that matter, they already have 2 Chaos LLs who hate the Chaos Gods and want to either destroy or surpass them: Archaon and Belakor. What does a Malal-less Kaleb Daark offer that they don't?

Hell no, GW have a long standing beef with ol’ Johnny boy, and won’t allow anything related to him in the game.

Also, why are you referencing the sons of malice? They’re exclusively from 40k, not fantasy, and they’re not, nor have they ever been, dedicated to Malal.

Malal is Malice same domain same armor scheme and same special weapons.
