how many turns on average does it take to go back up and does it differ from ratings and or factions?

I think it depends on how many treaties you broke and maybe also which. I experience going back to mid reliability after breaking a NAP after ~25 turns.

It really would be nice if we could see the number (I wonder if there's a mod). The problem is (as I understand it) that the scale goes from something like 100 = "very reliable" and 0= "very unreliable", but your number can go below 0 if you're too much of a jerk. So even if you get like +10/turn, you might be stuck at "very unreliable" for a long time without explanation as you crawl back to positive.

Think it goes up a notch every 10 turns or so, so it's very long to get back to good reliability
Really the game lacks some update on some reliability breaking stuff, like being dragged in a war by an ally that is attacked by another faction you recently peaced out with, whatever option you choose you're screwed !

It takes long enough that it you let it drop at all you should forget it even exists.

But problem is that when your reliability is low all AI that hated you more or less declare war and gangbang you

That's when I enable always steadfast mod, it locks reliability to max.
