Dark elves confederation
I'm playing a campaign with morathi as i see no benefit in using malekith over her mother other than having an easier time confederating other DE LL, is there a specific guide on how to integrate all the LL except for lokhir or do I just need to wait and get stronger than them?
Also, does the cult of pleasure last long enough for me to reach them and confederate them, or do they die in like 5 turns?

Cult of Pleasure survives pretty consistently, Morathi is a powerful lord and often ends up just as strong if not stronger than Malekith.

As for confederation, unless you get a mod to hire defeated lords, you pretty much have to get significantly stronger than the other faction. No shortcuts around it unless we talk about some factions like Dwarfs or Beastmen who can confederate through other means.

The benefit of playing malekith over her is the confederation, and there are other things aswell both malekith and morathi are extremely powerful LLs.

Malekith gets diplomacy bonuses form his tyrant tree.

You need certain things to confederate, if you are below 100 relations forget about it. You need to be significantly stronger than them and you need to pull them into a war with a strong opponent if you don't have +300 relations.

Pull them into big wars, have +150 relations and have significantly more power essentially.

And to add, there are 5 turn confederation guides you can find around, probably.

Strategies change from patch to patch so idk exactly how to currently.

Ok, tomorrow I will try these strategies out and let you know in if they worked.

Malekith is female? Huh!

Malekith's faction upkeep bonus means more Darkshards, and more Darkshards means more winning.
Also starts near Hellebron, with vision on Malus, a Sea Lane to Morathi (and more Sea Lanes to Rakarth and Lokhir).

That's a Dreadlord.
Yes, she wears the mask to protect you.
No, it doesn't work - she will still bite you.

Start position is why you play him. Morathi is surronded by meanies.

I tried with Malekith but it's hard because you need Hellebron and Malus (the ones that should be easier to confederate) to not expand and it's not that easy since they usally expand a lot.

I gave up after some tries, I tried being stronger than them and having great relations but they expand too quickly, i'm sure there is a way, maybe i'll try again in the future.

What difficulty do you play on?

99% of the time in my malekith campaigns helebron and malus gets absolutely destroyed by chaos. And i play malekith at least once every patch.

Pro tip: trading (gifting) settlements brings huge diplomacy bonuses to the table when negotiating with AI.

Outside of high elves and empire thats not a smart thing to do if you want to confederate.

High elves its fine because they regard power so little and you need relations asap. Empire you just confederate through mechanic anyways.

With dark elves you want the other faction to be weak otherwise they will not confederate.

What if I try to declare war on them after I deal with valkia, maybe if I leave them with one settlement and no army they will accept?

They'll hate you then and have a negatives relations for a long while. Likely forever. Once an AI hate's you they'll either stay at war with you until they're dead. Or b: ask for peace treaties and once it's over and they've (semi (not really semi) recovered) they'll just declare war again and be annoying. Just my experience with it.
