"Patch 7 is approximately 11.6GB on PC, and will require 160GB of free space to install. If you find yourself without the space to install the update, we recommend uninstalling Baldur’s Gate 3 and then re-downloading the patched version!"
I can't believe CA is ruining Baldur's Gate 3 now.
Also this havent been an issue with any other total war game before (played single medieval 1) and we run basically the same engine since empire total war. This should be something they should address.
It started being really noticeable in WH2, and even more now due to the >100 GB game size.
But the point is that - files are updated, steam backs them up, size is taken temporarily.
I was just replying to this that you said.
I get you are frustrated but it's not just this game. Far from it.
Useful options:
Free up more space.
Uninstall and reinstall.
Write to steam and ask for changes.
this definitely isn't the issue. I have 2 computers which both are all over the place, both have downloaded the patch and are wildly switching from 30 seconds to 22 days to in estimation patch time....
Never seen this before on any other game
Patching...% 5 min remaing - really?
Validating....% 10 min remaining - ok for sure now
Installing....% 2:13:43 remaining - ♥♥♥♥ you
Skipped few stepps too, but this part is pissing me the most.
