As far as I can see, they added nearly everything from the lore here, there isn't alot that GW gave them in the TT.
In the coming dlc for the game later, they will probably have to make up stuff for them. I hope they add things that will please most people.
Unless I'm mistaken and missing something in the blog post, the only bear cavalry option we're getting are the War Bear Riders. I'm fairly certain that nearly every monstrous cavalry unit possesses a variant where the riders have spears, halberds or lances. Why couldn't they give us a second War Bear Rider unit that follows this pattern? This would also allow CA to bring back the brown bears for one of the two units.
Its probably because they saw how many people were complaining about how many bears were in their roster and thought that having two bear cavalry units would have just made things worst.
- no ungols
- no chekists
- few artillery options
- no ice sleds
The mod is way more interesting.
I think they don't want anymore line support tools for a faction that's already pushing a ton of hybrid infantry and better quality infantry than Empire standards. The Snow kitty seems like its implementation is well thought out, its more comparable to a black coach with its niche sniping role. War Sleds are also line support tools these can be used in the same vein as anti infantry cavalry(you want) since they are no war wagons.
In fact a lot of work seems to go into making them different from the Empire visually and gameplay-wise.
Shame about the lack of options on heroes and other units, more is always more fun, but a lot of it I think is to make them less jack-of-all-trades and more specialized than their floppy hatted neighbours. Less of a re-skin, if you will.
