Strange...
in ambush battles when the ai feels like it doesnt stand a chance in hell it will try and go to the RUN AWAYYYY RUN AWAYYYYY point. if they succeed they escaped.
its completely fine tho u destroyed their entire army and as the beastmen i think u get some campaign map movement after a win ( i could be wrong my bad). so its all good.
they probably had the speed to do so tbh the rest probably didnt even have a choice in the matter.
can you only escape by sea or by land as the two port settlements i have siege they all escaped by land and one and bypassed my armies
But it doesn't change much, if he has no city the lord and his last army will launch a suicide attack on his turn and will die as well
Have not found all the pieces, but it appears when a settlement is attacked, if an army is present, the army is attacked first. What I have not figured out is does the army present get a choice of retreat, defend (allowing siege), or attack?
AI will not attack any of my settlements with an army in garrison.
