Best auto resolve faction?

Game crashes on manual battles so I'm kinda forced into auto resolve

Try playing Very Hard Campaign and Easy battles. You still have some challenge as AI got many advantages, but almost all of your battles would be auto resolvable in your favor.

Yes, you can tone down the battle difficulty separately, which will give you a huge advantage in auto resolve.

Barring that, Dwarfs are one of the best in AR.

Dwarfs, Empire (some units are absolute broken in autosolve, like hellblaster ore outriders and steam tanks. And then is the landship which is broken in the other way if they do not fix it), Chaos Dwarfs if you have the right setup. A shade stack has also quite a high autosolve strength.

That's...not good. It's a shame, you're missing out on half the game.

Have you tried reducing unit size? That made the game run much better on my old machine.

There's a few stats that are heavily favoured in auto resolve - such as armour and having shields.

I have but nothing's really helped☹️ I've tried everything on the lowest settings but still nothing, but at least I can play the campaign map so thats something at the very least

Yes that is how it works though you expect the opposite :)
