Any good tutorial for Reikland ?

So I've been playing with out lord Karl Franz from the first game.. and it's pretty much my favorite.
But.. on 3 on imortal.. it's seems so impossible..
All the Authority system is so dumb..
Because on nord you are guaranteed to lose a lot since the empire AI is dumb as a brick.. so you will have to go and save them.
But meanwhile in 5/6 of my empire campaign..
The Barrow legion somehow beats everything in its path... Dwarfs.. Bretons, Marienburg and comes to me with 2-3 almost full armies

How are you supposed to play the Reikland nowdays?

Yeah CA still can’t do balance and the reason why all your order races are terrible is because you’re order, it’s their awful bias mechanic

Reikland is very tough early to mid game.

My Recommendation would be take Marienburg ASAP use Requistition decree after recruiting the Elector Troop to get 2 Bordermen. then take out Barrow Legion- sell Artois to COurrone for early Ally, and Blackstone Post to Ziflin for second ally. Peace out with Marienburg. retake Middenland, try to get Laurelon Welves to join war against The Orcs.

You overuse "..." its really unneccesary, you're not telling us a suspenseful story, you're just sharing your problem, just use one period.

Anyway, yes all the minor factions are scripted to lose every battle against a legendary lord and their faction capital. This is so you can take their territory for yourself. You really only need the capitals for state troops, s o you can gift the rest to elector counts. to have less territory to defend.

I reccomend only building up Altdorf, as everything else is in danger. after clearing the starting enemies, go after Khazrak and black pit, then festus with franz, while having a small force in Altdorf so you can regiment of renown/ elector troop to full strength if grom or Kemmler attack.

Elspeth can hold off Vlad, so you then turn Franz on Wulfrik to kick him out of the Empire, then loop back to fight Kemmler/ grom. While this is going on, Durthu will be angry ar you for being friendly to Dwarfs, spend whatever money you have to get an agreement with him, you can't beat wood elves without overwhelming force.

And at that point, you should be in a stable enough posiition. Ikit Claw may also attack, but his armies will just be hordes of skavenslaves for 40 or so turns.

It's much much better with the patch rework
Take your province back, take Marienburg, peace out with them, let Kazhrak crashes on Altdorf walls, and go kill Festus
Use the new Edicts to have more recruitment slots + instant recruitment

Ah so I am to take Marienburg now? From what I remember the idea was to never take out Marienburg (they will lose it to norska or some random Aah tribe) and go take out the goblins + beastmans as soon as posible and focus on Festus

Taking Marienburg gives you money and will stop Kemmler from invading it
Without Marienburg itself the faction will better be able to defend against Norscans in tits 2 remaining settlements, that's why you have to make peace

Think of your minor Imperial factions losing territories as an opportunity for you to build up your Fealty by saving their bacon and handing them back their (slightly damaged) homes.

Just remember to use the various machinations available now - you can cause armies to pop up to support various elector counts, get them back up if they are defeated, have inquisitions remove corruption, and generally are MUCH more able to keep the empire going strong.
