This trilogy should go to console.
But CA doesn't like money I guess.

I assume this is just baiting but I will ask:

How do you see a controller handling this game? Because famously strategy games with real time elements have been very hard to handle on console. Not to mention the memory requirements of console ports generally mean you need to cutback on highly detailed maps.

Keyboard and mouse work fine on Ps5 and xbox.

True but they are very far from standard and both X-box and Playstation require you to have the game fully playable by controller.

If Paradox can figure it out, I'm sure Creative Assembly can too.

Wait a few years for the console processors and GPU's improve next to memory and able to use more solid-state disk space. It probably wouldn't run very well as consoles stand now.

Controllers would probably be tricky to do but there are so many commands to have.

If Stellaris can make the journey to console total war surely can, and I'd imagine the controller would handle it the same way as Halo wars or any other rts that's been on consoles.

Not saying it should, there's probably zero market for it, but it could.

Yes because the first thing people associate with console gaming is turn based strategy games.

3/10 bait. It's atleast better than the manufactored outrage from the malders.

You sound like a normal person with a good head on their shoulders that I could trust my daughter with.

No thank you. I'm only attracted to velociraptors.

But no third party publisher is going to fund a game that requires non-standard peripherals like that. Especially in a genre that hasn’t traditionally had much audience on console.

Oh, I think Total War battles involve a much great level of fine control than anything in Stellaris. Stellaris is largely navigating menus, Total War has a rather complicated directly controlled real-time battle component.

I’m sure it COULD be made to work on a controller, but I don’t think it could be made to work well.

only RTS i ever tried on a console was Alien Vs predator extinction and that only worked because there wasnt a whole lot of controls needed to play, though i will say it would have been nice to have a "pause" and "slow" buttons for that game so i could actually make an attack and defend home base at the same time

play this game in controller feels like a chore tbh
