This and depending on which faction you play, you're basically ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as soon as they start. Best example Khalida, that other Empire dude down there and the Southern Lands in general. Just had to quit a campaign because it's literally impossible to fight with 7 armies against 60-80 armies at once. 2 LL Dwarfs, 2 Minor Faction Dwarfs, Mannfred, TK, Woodelves and Skaven.
It needs a complete rework, because its just boring and garbage. Spawning 20 Armies out of thin air per Major Faction...
Normally I like difficult things but this is ridiculous.
Most players don't enjoy having a ton of armies spawn in the middle of their empire on short notice. Wiping out a crisis faction early doesn't prevent the crisis. There's also a tendency for crisis factions to kill each other off, or otherwise get ground down before reaching your territory, so they're generally not a true existential threat to your empire.
I'd recommend doing one or two crisis factions per campaign as an added challenge for the late game, but ultimate crisis is just obnoxious.
I mean, it's pretty poorly designed.. I'm sure some people like it though. If u have fun then thats all that matters.
But how come I didn't get a new victory condition? It's only domination victory left to basically capture the whole map.
Last campaign I only had a Greenskin crisis and had a specific victory condition to beat them, which also gave me a Steam achievement.
Yeah not a fan of backtracking through my own empire either, for relatively trivial battles too. And prepping for it in advance seems cheesy and not much fun.
Would prefer if it just made your remaining enemies on the map stronger, instead of spawning dead ones behind your back, it was better in WH1 when I had to defend from the Chaos invasion.
I would like to go for a domination victory but the enemies around the map don't seem very strong at all, even on Legendary, so not much satisfaction there from painting the map.
That and a frame loss but yeah be my guest lol
PS: I completely turn off crisis mode
