Do You SaveScum?
I frequently have situations where armies are out somewhere and another faction suddenly declares war and razes a settlement or w/e. In cases where a sudden new front opens, do yall save-scum and prepare for it, or do you just roll with the punches?

I feel like the game intends you not to do so and interact dynamically to new threats. What do you guys do?

Its only called savescumming if you abuse the system for RNG purposes or to get an unfair advantage, bordering on if not sometimes outright exploitation. Saving can be a natural course of gameplay, like if a particular game version crashes a lot or a battle goes so horribly bad the campaign is lost completely with no hope of recovery.

Depends if you want a walk in the park, or actually play a bit the game.
The latter for me.

Not much. Usually just roll with the punches. it's not like a single raized/captured settlement or even multiple matters over much in the long run. Ground gets lost, ground gets retaken, it is the way of things.

Usually fighting out of an awkward position is the most fun you can have in game anyway.

If the game allows you to load and save games whenever you want, it is intended that you load and save whenever you want.

Call it what you will, but if it wasn't intended every difficulty would have the 1 save rule as legendary does.
