Khorne, you just make a control group, lock all your units in it, right click the enemy and even outnumbered you just dumpster auto win everything. It's only mercy is the campaign is thankfully short. Pretty sure it's completely impossible to lose the campaign without doing it intentionally with Skarbrand being a doomstack from rank 1 and essentially unstoppable. Snorefest battles, truly boredom refined. Cathay would have been bottom before I played Khorn, dull battles, absolutetly hate the rigid sit around for buffs playstyle punishing any sort of dynamic play. Caravans are the best thing they've ever put in a total war game for a campaign mechanic though keeping them out of bottom.
This thread has been made weekly since May 24th, 2016. Youtubers will continue to make yearly content answering this very question. It has always been and will always be. But I love hearing people's perspectives and opinions on this subject.
Bretonia is my favorite, a great economy, incredible diplo to help fill out the holes in your army and plenty of cav to keep my brain engaged. outdated by modern standards, but I often return to it when I want to go back to basics.
My least favorite would have to be the wood elves. but it's more of a prejudicial thing. I find it too easy to cheese the enemy AI with ranged units. It's the same reason I don't often enjoy the dwaves or Skaven.
Least favorite is Bretonia. Specifically Carcasonne on harder difficulties of Immortal Empires. The faction isn't balanced very well for the location they put you in. You are almost guaranteed to fight three wars within 30 turns, all against DLC factions, and in every single direction except the East if you're smart. One of those factions tunnels straight to your capital. Lose your starting Grail Knights, and your campaign is over. Unless you're auto-resolving everything of course.
Norsca, hnnn! NO FUR!
Most fun: Empire, simple as (the recent reworks are great), Vampire counts because the uber strong lords and a roster I personally enjoy (the snowballing with raise dead is still good, even with the nerf from wh2 version), dwarfs because the voicelines are funny (THEY HAVE WRONGED US)
Least fun: Skaven (not racist, just don't like em), Beastmen (way too braindead easy imo), dark elves (they really need a lil sumthin sumthin to spice them up)
HE DE WE is tha best after them maybe Cathay? Maybe because it is my prefered playstyle to choose a turtle faction.
Least Empire by far..
Most: Skaven and Dwarfs (with or without pointy hats).
