Most obsolete unit is the basic vampire counts corps cart, which is probably also the weakest if we count single entities in.
the TerrorGheist is some obsolete because can be killed by a dragon no matters the terrorgheist is anti large. besides is very weak against Khorne and Tzeentch because the fire damage.
Vs a star dragon (2.2k, 600uk) it depends on luck, but the stardragon is a bit stronger. The terrorgheist stuggles due to shorter reach.
Firedmg isn't that common for khorne and only common for tzeentchs ranged.
A hero riding a bear and beeing able to heal beeing useless? Now thats a daring stance.
Weakest i'd guess are either regular skaven slaves or bretonnian peasents.
The list for bad/obsolete is somewhat subjective. There are plenty of units i don't recruit. About every faction has units i don't want to recruit or use.
And also:
A legendary lord without any synergy with the race she belongs too.
She's the only lord of her race that cannot cast spells.
Her animations look pretty, but makes her horrible for actual melee combat.
Her only mount choice is the same as literal all other hero's and lords, while the other 3 legendary lords get a huge mount that give them a massive boost.
Her one redeeming quality is she has access to a net ability.
You're far better of replacing her with a generic vampire fleet admiral.
-some unit are MEANT to be cheap meat shields,
-others are meant to be better version of base units, therefore replace base units.
-others are made obsolete due to another unit performing better within the same Tier and Role.
Skaven Slaves are meant to be meat shields, same as Bretonnian Paesant Mobs, Gnoblars and Gor Herds.
Their only use is to be embedeed within another stronger and unit and absorb the hits for them.
Personally, though, the worst "unit type" (at least for me) has to be light melee cavalry, and small flying monsters (bats, chaos furies, carrion etc etc)
Light Cavalry is : too flimsy, too big of a target, no armor and don't last long in melee.
Factions with high base leadership tend to make better use of them, but other factions i go for the ranged light cavalry.
Small flying entities die like flies and perform poorly in combat.
Only useful against artillery pieces to prevent them from flying, but they never get there because ranged units destroy them in seconds.
They always suck, no matter if i play with them or the AI does.
Then there are there is the War-Drum and the War Compass from Cathay, one buff units the other powers up the winds and casts spell.
Both of these tasks can be pefrormed by Cathay's Lord and Heroes with better mobility and stats, thus making the former 2 obsolete.
The war-drum and War compass at least have a "niche use" when you are in a pickle and have no other option...which is VERY rare.
I played a full campaign with Saltspite in game 2, i would not class her weak... not sure if changed much with the WH3 updates but she used to able be to near cap ward save whith items and when using her abilities so nigh on unkillable. so with being small, using Net and faction abilities she was pretty good for blobbing up and being used as target practice for your zombo's.
She is very weird and doesnt belong as vampirates as you say. Very out of place... would of been much better off as southern realms / dogs of war or anything else to be honest. ... and that mount was awful.
