Yup.
Edit: Each tab open is a drag on the usage of ram but should be minor less you have low ram or like 30 tabs open all on heavy websites
Probably both.
Sometimes I'll have youtube going while I'm gaming.
i have atm 40 tabs open and my browser uses 1,2gb ram.
Do you have identical machines?
Does Firefox use the same amount of ram?
Are your tab counts the same?
Are you on the same websites?
Hopefully you understand now.
I recently switched from Firefox to Chrome because of performance issues with Firefox. It frequently caused problems while watching youtube videos and playing games. Crashes, fps drops and it kept causing my discord to ♥♥♥♥ its self.
I switched to Chrome and all those problems went away.
RAM is a funny one, the price fluctuates a lot. Right now you can pick up 64GB of Corsair Vengence DDR4 at 3600mhz for £170, which isn't too bad. A couple of months ago it was over £200.
Chrome is a horrible browser that has or had tons of memory leaks i stopped using it years ago because of that.
