If I like RTS but hates turn-based, will I like this game?

thinking of investing my time on this game if its worth it. tried Warhammer 1 got it free on Epic and it doesnt really appealed to me. to be fair i only played the first mission and kinda stopped because theres just so many texts to read.\

I love AoE 2 DE & Dune Spice Wars so Im wondering if Warhammer 3 will be next go to?

hows multiplayer or pvp in this game? do people mostly people play this game only for the single player campaign or multiplayer are where it shines?

It's a turn based game, only the battles are real time.

No. This is a turn based game. If you dont like turn based games, you prob wont like this

This is not RTS at all. RTS would imply you gather resources and build units and structures, in real time.
All the management is in Turn Based mode, and the Real Time battles are tactical, not RTS style.

If you want to get into the multiplayer side of things I'd suggest joining the total tavern discord. It's the biggest community multiplayer scene this game has and they normally host tournaments pretty regularly

Well it's like this, it's a 4X, well I guess it looks more like a turn-based Paradox grand strategy game, except you can actually fight the battles in Real-time combat. Oh and the combat isn't like a typical RTS, it's more of the Real-Time Tactics subgenere[en.wikipedia.org].

Well it has it but it's mostly just a skirmish mode for the real-time battle and to their credit they do have a couple of unique game modes, though there's also a multiplayer campaign mode (Campaigns consist of both the turn based empire management part and the real-time battles part) with up to 8 players as well. While there are Youtubers and communities that hold tournaments, but in general multiplayer isn't all that popular. People really struggle to play multiplayer on their own, though that shouldn't be much of a problem if you have a group of friends.

If you hate turn based games I don't think you will enjoy this, unless you go for 100% multiplayer random matches as battles are RTS, but might be a tad expensive game too just play battles.

If you are Curious about the multiplayer pvp I'd reccommend watching Turin on youtube. I love watching them and their tournies and replay casting.

I'm a huge fan of the old RTS games (the old command and conquer games and Warcraft 1, 2 and 3 and the likes), but if you're looking for something similiar, this isn't for you. It's more overland and diplomacy, with the occasional battle you can either auto-resolve or play out. If you're looking for an actual RTS game, I'd pick something else - not to say I don't enjoy this game. It's just not an RTS.

IF u like fighting huge battles or completitive battles then Multiplayer competitive will be fun for u or custom battles, campain is all Turn bases minus the battles themselfs
