So... what about those Ethereal units eh?
The latest hotfix mentioned that some stats from a couple of ethereal units have been changed but I can't see the difference. Anyone else know for sure what they changed? Btw. I wish ethereal units had 80% physical resistance since they melt when in contact with magic attacks or via spells.

And they still would even if they had 95% physical resistance.. Magical attacks ignore physical resist..

Imo, they should just have buffed their HP pool, but leave their original Physical Resistance.

They're supposed to be ghost, come on.

I think the point is it will be worth using them more if resistances are improved against mundane enemies......

i think they may have changed or fixed some animation errors with them, but otherwise im not sure.

and etheral units are kind of good on a faction to faction basis, fighting greenskins? theyre busted. Fighting Chaos...ehhhhhh alot less busted, though they match alright against most of khorne, but only alright. As such they can feel pretty swingy in terms of how good they are, one minute they can take an army on 10-1, the next they literally cant even fight 1-1.

.... I wish I didn't had to explain everything and people would think more then 1 step ahead. Ofcourse I know about their weakness my point was since they have this obvious weak point the 80% resistance feels justified. Magical attacks can be optained by many factions and spells are OP even against regular units.

If you don't know why something got worse always blame m*ltiplayer clique. There was no reason to nerf ethereals.

An argument could be made for this, but speaking of thinking ahead while some have easy access to magical attack, some factions have a hard time getting magical attacks..

Spells being bonkers is hardly an argument, the strong spells delete entire units etheral or not, this is supposed to be their weakness.

That's not saying that the current % is the correct choice, but going from what 50% ? to 80 is a pretty hefty boost, maybe move the post 5-10% and check before going all in ?..

Then there is their abillity to ignore other enemies physical resist + 100% AP..

I dont think there is a problem in having to pick your fights, that is a large part of a strategy game.

His reason for higher resist = they melt on contact with magical attack or spells..

For TWW3 Ca reduced the physical resistance of ethereal units but they also increased their health. In theory they should perform exactly the same against non-magical weapons as they did in 2 but last somewhat longer against magical attacks.

If you think they "melt" under the current system then the only appropriate word to describe them under the old system is "evaporate"

That 3rd person isn't even playing multiplayer

That is in addition to healing now being % based on health.
