What is Nurgle
im starting a new nurgle campaign so ill update when i get to round 50.

what do you like and dislike about nurgle, anyone main nurgle? i think ill do a festus destroy the holy kingdom and bring doom to humans rp.

Edit: love what you guys wrote and i see where you guys are coming from. the plagues is a cool mechanic, spreading everywhere it touches. i need more time to play around with the plagues to see if its OP or not but im excited to see if the rework makes the game more immersive. id also like to see more of a reason to stay in your own territory more (rp nurgle is lazy) but have it be more helpful, kinda fits the tanky theme. also i feel like it could use a flying unit, but the dragon toads are so cool. personally i hate the dragon isle area its kind of boring and i don't know where i should expand into, i don't really want to go to the cathay theater or the mountains.

Well, to answer the title. The Chaos God of entropy, decay, death and stagnation.

As to likes and dislikes. My only qualms with Nurgle right now is the xpac isn't out so plagues can be cooler XD. Likes though, hmmm... In lore I like that he is the easiest to see some good in out of the four gods (IMO at least) and has a tendency to have pretty happy little guy's working for him. Also in a world where gods and infinite realms of torture are EVIDENTLY very real, the guy that offers true death, total oblivion, is actually arguably the good guy.

In game terms, i love how tanky his people are. I like slow, grindy war's of attrition. (Dwarves, lizards, the like) so Nurgy boy is just easily my favorite chaos faction theme.

ok likes: i love the disease crafting system, i love the toads, i love the lords designs. festus as an enemy is honestly in a cool location, being on the edge of the empire and kislev, making him a fun enemy to have to work around. Lore of plagues is absurdly strong and pretty fun to use.

dislikes: plague spread chance is based on nurgle corruption making it shockingly tame as far as plague systems go, especially in comparison to skaven plagues, as they usually only spread 2 or 3 times before peetering out after maybe 10 turns. The units are absurdly slow and there is an absurdly limited number of ranged and flying units, making it painful to play at times. Kugath has the most obtuse building mechanic ive ever seen.

over all, my least favorite chaos faction, the limits to plagues spreading really just kills the fun for me.

Monogod nurgle faction is the most op faction in the game. You don't even need to fight to win. Just spread red ague with some duration and spread buffs + a couple early techs and you can shut down multiple factions at the same time by just having their armies unable to replenish and slowly take attrition damage. Stopping replenishment is extremely powerful, 1 fight and the army is useless for 10+ turns. I destroyed 3 players in a multiplayer campaign by just spamming red ague on them, they could not play the game at all. Had to make a rule with my friends not to use that as its stupidly overpowered and only wood elves have a way of stopping attrition and replenishing. Just an I win button. Works great against AI too.
