Start, End Turn - or closing dialogues when a "you must acknowledge this quest" is issued.
Pre-Battle, Battle Aftermath - including encircle/siege.
As for save corruption issues, a while ago they added a step where they're building the new save file before replacing the current one.
So you should at most lose the last save, but still have the previous one.
I still don't trust it.
What do you mean by battle aftermath though? So I win a battle and shut down the game before ending my turn, it will be saved at the battle aftermath screen?
It will save after the post-battle screen is dismissed. If you occupied or looted, you'll be in the settlement after reloading.
