Oathgold from buildings
How it works? I play new dwarf lord and I build few money buldings which should also generate oathgold every turn but nothing happened. I can obtain oathgold only from battles and missions (and it works). I don't use any mods. I even started new campagne because previous one I have started one day before hotfix and I though that it could generate problem but nothing changed.

Dwarf economy building is either gold or oathgold; you have to choose, as one prevents the other.

There are two chains on buildings in my game. One industry and second trade (or other names-I play in polish). One chain gererates income and reduces building cost, second should generate income and oathgold. If I build one type I cannot build another. But I didn't get any oathgold from second type building.

Is that why i cant build the Oathgold generating building sometimes as it says its already built even though i have not built it in any city in the region/province? If so thanks!

Oathgold income, i think this is not updated live like your gold income.

It shows how much you earned *this* turn, so the building income is only added at the start of each turn.

So basically:

Turn 1 - order construction
Turn 2 - building complete
Turn 3 - the UI shows the added oathgold

That is exactly correct.
I personally say always build the tool shops first, they collectively reduce the construction cost of the region and save you a metric ♥♥♥♥ ton of money. Once your first settlement hits tier 5 and you start building everything you want go crazy and build oathgold, though you only need like 3 provinces pumping out oathgold to have all you will ever need honestly.

Problem with oathgold is that by time you can start getting any useful amount you've probably already gotten to a point where oathgold items are just superfluous. I always go toolmaking, as gold is always useful.

Research costs Oathgold now.

Not quite. The Toolmaker gives you a little bit more gold (not THAT much) but it also reduces the build cost of buildings in your province. If you don't have any of these in a province, or have any tech upgrades, higher tier structures can cost quite a lot.

The Trading Depot gives you both gold and Oathgold, but a reduced amount of gold over what the Toolmaker gives you.

Usually for me, I go with a mix of the two until later in the campaign where Oathgold is all I want for mass item production for all my Lords and heroes.

Is there a point where the reduction on construction costs from a tool shop reaches diminishing returns? If it was a 3 settlement provinces would you build 2 toolshops and 1 trade depot?

I haven't done any math on it, but I typically only put toolmakers in my minor settlements and Trade depots in my majors. Again I only do this at the beginning of my campaigns where construction costs are a bigger chunk of my budget and im not using oathgold as much.
