Help those weak sons of the "empire" regain their honour
None of the Bretonnian or Imperial AI factions can ever hold their own (let alone, win) against the threats surrounding them, and it looks like 5.0 only made their collapse happen even quicker, leaving Karl to fight everyone alone all the time.
Gotta care about all your borders first, is still hard to loose all the fealty from your remaining empire factions, no need to hurry that much to bring back the east part of the empire. It is very manageable, is the same rule as always, keep an eye in power balance and look to close your borders first.
Since posting this I wanted to test just how unlucky I was. I launched three campaigns as Reikland restarting each every time Couronne fell. In all three campaigns Couronne fell withing 30 turns do to the combo of attacks from three different factions and usually Broken Axe slaughtered everything in Bretonnia with Barrow Legion mopping up the rest.
With such consistent results I don't think I'm unlucky I think you are lucky, Couronne surviving is the exception not the norm.
