Tamurkhan cheiftan units are pretty bad.

simply put the units you get from you chiefs excluding the first chief do not benefit from red line skills, research etc. next this gapping and glaring weakness in comparison to the other nurgle units isnt bridged via skills in the relevant chief either. honestly think the ball was massively dropped with this faction.

the chaos dwarf engineer could have provided the forge buffs and other needed buffs for those units allowing a very limited access to on par chaos dwarf units. instead they will always be subpar even at max rank and not worth having minus the dread quakes.

the chaos lord is in a similar spot with no bonus for those units either.

the fimir cheif is a good wizard but again no buffs for his units or anything why would you take them over the nurgle units that will get buffs and research?

right but that doesn't change the fact that all the supposed to be cool units his chiefs add are almost all trash in comparison to the nurgle units for the reasons i said.

The Chaos dwarf gives artillery 15% more weapon damage and an extra 20% range not to mention reducing their reload time

It's almost like they give you tactical flexibility with a small amount of unique support units.
Early game they are definitely worth having, but by late game, yes you normally just spam toad dragons.

But that's more a problem with the game and its doomstacks.

They make solid second or third army supporters while your main focuses on nurgle units. Don't see the drawback really. Good for buffing up new armies while still making sure you won't run a pretty much 80% hero one for your main.

Then play with the nurgle units if you think thats the case.

Currently playing Legendary/Very Hard with Tamurkhan and I disagree. Everyone's entitled to their own, wrong, opinion though!
