Chorfs war machines any good in campaign?
Playing some chaos dwarves since I can't wait for the dlc and I haven't actually touched them much since near their release. Now that people have played them a bit do yall feel like the irondaemon or skullcracker is useful in singleplayer? As far as I remember back near release everyone said just to get a magma canon and that bull centaurs were your only good hammer to the chorf anvil.

Personally not a big fan of the irondaemon, just dont seem to get it working. Skullcracker is nuts tho..
Magma cannon is ok, but honestly the Deathshrieker is the MVP imo. Any large target is prime target for it, and if there are none less then you go spread shot and it can still do good damage, just way less reliable..

Okay so say early game I build an artillery recruitment building would you say to get 1 magma and 1 skullcracker?

The Magma cannon and the Dreadquack Mortar are the best ones.

Death rocket is ok at best. The single rocket function to target large targets or lords is the primary use. The multi-shot is just garbage.

I don't bother with the rest.

Alright so just grab bull's if I want an anvil/range killer.

Kinda disappointing those war machines look so cool.

I like the multi shot. Works great against massed infantry

I mean, you can use them make no mistake. They're cool units, I just personally don't recruit them based on my play style.

Ehhh, I've not had much success with it. It's really inaccurate on the enemy approach and then once lines clash, I don't want to be raining on my own dudes, which it often does.

I've used it to snipe flying enemy lords which is great.

Rain of fire pluss a fire mage`s passive debuff works great (also helps that your own guys will have fire protection)

Yea difference of opinion there, i'd forgo the magma and go deathshriek.. Magma is a single thing solution, DS is great against 1 thing and works quite well against the other, + hard to lose an artillery shootout with it when you parked behind a building.

Yep! Honestly thats another thing, I remember back at the start at least from my perspective the overseer generic lord seemed better than the sorcerer lord, the daemonsmith could get everything the sorcerer could and the ability to heal war machines.

People dont know how to use those units

i can use 3 skull crushers to kill entire armys or irondeamons to do the same.

they are very strong but you use them as CHARIOTS not like SEM

In tabletop all Chaos Dwarfs war machine are very powerful but helas not very good in this game unfortunately. Their Artillery are also second to none but for the balance sake of the game about average to good only which suck to be honest

Lots of bad players in this post if they think skullcrushers and irondaemons are bad

dont underestimate the usefulness of hobgoblins, the longer you play chorfs the more you realize how awesome they are

Yep I see now It's partially about how you use it and the situation, sometimes I find myself SoL in some battles when I wanna use arty's but then the skull cracker comes in shining.

Ended up trading off one of my magma canons to my second army and taking a skull cracker things straight gas.
