I agree because it would be cool, I do think you shouldn't be able to keep that unit for long.
I disagree for two reason,
-I like being able to threat those unit like consumable, no matter what happen to them they are gonna die and I love it.
-I would be pretty broken, you stated that seducing a unit is expensive but that depend a lot on your armies, also remember that seducing a unit is effectivelly removing a unit from the oppenant army.
A a Dreadspears (standart spearman for dark elf) cost ~400 to recruit , you would need 800 gold to even be fair in unit cost.
Seduced unit also often fill a void in slaanesh army, like archer or respecifics unit that counter your army.
There are plenty of ways to balance it out , as I already said its really expensive to seduce units so what if their upkeep is 3x more expensive than their normal faction related upkeep without tech trees ?
Maybe limit it to 3 or 4 seduced units per army simular to allied recruitment also depending on lords seduction budget .
Or maybe seduced units have the worst replenishment there is or no replenishment at all like disciple armies and they decay unless in slaanesh corrupted areas .
keeping seduced units would be the most tame faction mechanic there is. Even without any stuff around it to make it worse.
They don't benefit from red tree which is already huge and you can get the same effect from having an outpost on a vassal. So no big deal at all.
However, perhaps a proper and thematic use of enthralled units would be the "waaaagh" mechanic.
They don't replenish, but you can have up to "Army Strength" units as a horde alongside your main army. Upkeep free.
