Tamurkhan players..
I haven't seen them in the forum lately.. I kept expecting some threads to pop up complaining about bugs or raving how awesome he is.. I take this as a good sign actually. Must mean they're all veg'ing out to graphic scenes of Toad Dragons wrecking humans. xD

For Chaos mf's

What I dont like about his campaign is the route. I always have to go to Grimgor and after defeating him, you have to kill the ogre factions. They become boring, and while you finish it around turn 32-35 you are at the end of the world and takes 5-7 turns to get to Kislev or the Empire. You are stuck in the mountains.

First time i played tamurkhan i went north smacking archaon, then moving to boris up to epidemius to secure him so i could confed him later on.
Kholek's vassal took the capital but that wasn't an issue, i just moved back to reclaim it, bonking kholek's main army on the way and making a peace treaty with him.

I went full time on malakai and kislev after that, so no you are not forced to go south !
And even if you go south you could sell the ogres settlements to the chaos dwarves before rushing cathay or pursuing south to meet ku'gath (many ku'gath skill nodes gives factionwide bonus now, he is a must to confed !)

The short victory is to beat Kholek, Grimgor and the ogres. And Kholek is very aggressive, if I leave him alone, he will attack me, just like you said, if I kill Kholek then Grimgor will declare war on me and so on. I think I am forced to go south.

Haven't played him yet, but having faced him in two campaigns, he seems to do very well as the AI, and he's super tough to eliminate. Peoples were talking about farming him for his trait, but the guy moves around with armies full of T5 that can regen, with LHs, high level regular heroes, seems to be taking lightning strike, and is globaly mostly moving in hosts of full armies escorting him. The dude is scary all right.

The region he starts in both maps has lots of high profile LLs, but that doesn't seem to stop him from expanding at all.
He straight died to Hochland before I even got to him as Elspeth. Seems that was a fluke..

I think you are mistaking Tamurkhan and Festus with each other but thats a funny fluke - Don't think I ever had a campaign where hochland killed Festus by themselves.

couldn't say, Chaos factions besides Skaven and Beastmen to me never clicked well, but as AI he's an absolute menace.

he is the least selling DLC in that trio, most of folks don't like ugly ♥♥♥♥♥ unless they pay good per hour

What's his defeat trait btw?

So I've finished my previous campaign and decided to start his RoC campaign. He looks pretty good so far honnestly. Just got rid of mother Ostankya's faction and got three, soon 4 of his special heroes. The rot knights are really good, and he himself starts fairly weak but becomes good in combat pretty damn fast. Nurgle generally has a "slow in combat" feel, but thanks to Kayzk and his boys, you can quickly make a strike force to overwhelm completely a flank or two and sweap the backline while your slower units act as a regular, super hard to kill anvil. Kayzk, the rot knight(s), one or two chariots, and the chaos warrior special hero provides a lot of speed and hard hitting force very unusual for an early Nurgle experience ImO.

I'm not sold on the new building system btw. We went from "nurglings, nurglings everywhere" to a "where nurglings?" feel with both the removal of the + nurgling recruited from the available plague effects, and from the green buildings. There's a tech that gives the "+ nurgling on plague spread" back to any plague spreading on friendly armies and settlements, but it takes like 20 turns to reach even if you were to rush it; so it feels really really empty at the beginning.

Tamurkhan has his special heroes and some of their special troops to recuit so you can still make it to 20 units somehow, but I can't imagine it going that way with the other two Nurgle LLs. I'll have to test them, but right now I'd say that it misses some early nurgling sources.

It's one of the most broken traits to farm in the game, it gives +3 slots to all your heroes types.

Nurgle isn't a popular faction so its normal. I didn't play it either, played empire and dwarfs tho.

I just finished my Tam campaign earlier and I quite enjoyed it. The hero loyality/unit recruitment system was pretty fun. The Toad Dragons pretty often just casually walked over enemies and stomped them to death by accident which looked pretty funny.
But I also quite like Nurgle to begin with so I am definitely biased.

I'm playing multiplayer versus campaign for the second time. Still cant use plagues. It says to get 200 infections. I have a 333/200 and the boiler icon is still inactive. We don't know what to do with it, so I'm going to play something else for now. It seems to be quite bugged. :-/

Build one of the lesser army-buildings, that cost 200 infection and cancel it. The infections get refunded and the plagues unlocked. Else you'd need to gather additional 200 infections.

Besides the 37 infection-cap, which can be easily fixed by a mod, it's a fun campaign.

Rot Knights are pretty bonkers.

edit: Plague Ogres, ma' Lord!

That 37 was hotfixed and raised to 100. (5.0.2)
