Can someone explain why ToD is better than SoC?
So we had a huge drama because SoC was basically a scam but we are suddenly happy with ToD EVEN THOUGH it's basically the same thing again.
1) Still ridiculous price
2) No new mechanics
3) Laughable amount of content
So why is ToD better than SoC?

Empire fans are quite numerous, also units and lords in SoC doesn't seems as interesting as the ones in ToD but that's a personal taste

First, patch 5.0 is linked to it and it offers quite few cool new features and revamps. Second, the campaigns are very fun, I played Elspeth so far and it was such a fun experience with lot's of stuff to discover and min/max. The price is too high, but as long as there is no real competitor, it's hard to completely avoid Total War, especially, if the product is well made.

No new mechanics? all three races got reworks with new mechanics.

There is also a fair amount of content that have basically completed the rosters of all three races.

Welp, the 5.0 update might be free for us, but it certainly wasnt free to for them to develop. This is reflected in the price and by buying the DLCs you get even more stuff than in the FLC and you signal them that developing this game further is profitable, thus there is high possibility of updates like this one again in the future.

Only thing I agree with OP on is the overall price being annoying, but I was never expecting it to be less than SoC & the option of splitting it up for people is ok, I guess.

They lost me at "no new mechanics". This is probably just a bait post.

To be fair, they aren't part of the DLC.

They wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the dlc, so yes they are indirectly part of the dlc.

This OP is nothing but a bunch of whining from an ungrateful fool.

* Opening post riddled with hyperbole and opinions-as-fact.
* Checks post history.
* Has a clear personal vendetta against this game and CA.

This person doesn't have any interest in actual discussion.

The only thing from the DLC that matters are the races in it. The quality of the DLC is completely irrelevant for the quality of the reworks.

No it isn't, you would never had gotten three reworked factions if it wasn't for CA trying to justify the price of the dlc.

What you are arguing is that CA should have locked the reworks behind the dlc paywall in order to justify the price.
