Use Imrik without downloading warhammer 2?

I have purchased and played Warhammer I & 2 with most of the DLC. I have the option to play Imrik (Free) on Warhammer III, but to do so I am forced to download Warhammer 2 (which is a little ridiculous just to play a singular character on WH3).

Is there any way around this? Appreciate any suggestions. :)

It shouldn't be needed but you can try starting and cancelling the install.

Do you have linked your Creative Assembly account to your steam account yet ?

After selecting Imrik a menu popped up asking if I had steam, after clicking yes it directed me to the installation page for WH2, lol.

Imrik doesn't need that

Hmm thats weird. in the warhammer 2 store page can you add Imrik as flc?

Aye, I think the problem might be because I had cleared my steam folder of old games/mods I don't play anymore. WH2 was one of those folders.

There have always been reports of the game not recognizing previous un-installed games, even back in WH2. They are rare, but they are a thing.

May just be a steam glitch.
