I'd say it depends on which stage of Horus.

Are we talking early, perfect captain, Warmaster Horus or later senile, disconnected from reality, Vengeful Spirit hermit Horus? Cos even a Titan could've sneaked up on him and ended it all... and the difference would've been solely dependent on which of them the Four see as most useful to keep alive.

Kind of interesting question ngl. Obviously Horus jumped up on evil power when he fights with big E would win but it's safe to say they wouldn't lend him that power if he's just fighting another champion of chaos, they'd just empower whoever would win.

archaon for his setting(s) is far and away the strongest character unless there's some 1v1 he lost to sigmar im unaware of and while im less versed on WHFB and AoS lore i believe a significant bit of his strength comes from spite, smarts, and the artifacts he carries. horus is of course a demigod and a tactical genius at base himself

id say archaon gets major points for actually winning the fight for chaos but zooming out where archaon destroyed one world horus destroyed at least half the galaxy and left the rest destitute

hmm... luna wolves horus might get a run for his money, but if its anywhere between dropsite massacre and siege of terra horus, archaon is toast

Archaon is cooler than Horus by far. In terms of personal power, however, its incomporable.

Could Archaon fatally wound the Emperor? Would Horus, warmaster and commander of a massive galaxy-burning force, fall to a mere groin kick from an orc?

It's a matter of scale. Archeon destroyed one world. Horus destroyed countless worlds.

I have a hard time seeing a mortal, no matter how blessed he was by the chaos gods, best Horus. That said, I find it rather hard to translate their powers between the two different fictional universes.

Like I said, he's cooler.

Still weaker, though. As the above have pointed out, Horus' life plays out on a far grander scale. A scale so grand, no orcs kick him in the nuts.

If its a 1v1 then it Depends which state of both characters

Horus before he died (before the emperor obliterated him) would easily destroy Archaon as he is a primarch who's bigger and stronger in almost everyway, Not to mention Horus power armor and weapons being extremely more advanced then Archaons armor

Over Archaon's journey he had some of the most powerful items and during a duel with Grimgor, Grimgor (And Orc) was able to head butt and destroy Archaon's "eye of sheerian" a artifact that literally allows him to see the future

if you can see the future and still struggle as much as he did against an Orc, then i genuinely don't think Archaon's gonna win against horus at all

(in saying this i will pay money to see Fantasy Archaon + his legion fight horus + his legion)
