Hint mods , dont delete unnecessary much people cant google stuff anymore because everyone deletes everything ! i learned to not put any energy in trying to make any usefull comments here anymore cause mods just delete the entire thread for some reason.
Like this entitled opinions - you know that not everybody is filthy rich and has more disk space than needed?
Since I also have an old rig with limited space; my solution for OP: just delete one big file at a time till it downloads - today I had only to delete about 15 GB to get 100 GB free and now its loading... Still faster than to reload all 120 GB
Sounds like a lack of knowledge on your part TBH
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_update
This has been a thing for a looong time.
Why didn't you tell OP to delete some files and it's not CA's fault, it's Steam
Who cares who's fault it is. I'm not a drama queen and am only interested in talking fixes and improvements. Although I am sure you'll find someone tyo commiserate on the drama only shortly.
Sounds like you had a huge hole in your tech knowledge if you think it is OP's skill issue.
Ironically it is a developer skill issue lmao
Sucks to get corrected, but your skill issue was blaring lol
You're not redownloading every part of the game so it's not a matter of delta updating or not.
The problem is that you can't just download the 800 MB of the update and plop them down on the game folder.
You really don't though.
It's just a method that works best for you and your.. setup.
It's fine for the majority
This post doesn't seem talking fixes, I don't know why you are not even helping OP.
It took me ten minuets from start to finish. Sadly I will need to wait for what I consider vital mods to be updated before I can get back in to the carnage.
There's gotta be a better way to package these game files.
