It had to happen, but man the hochland scope days are over

Range bonus: 15% -> 10% (now applies only to the character)

Mo more insane ranges.

It's easier to fix it for them that way, then to fix all the shenanigan-traits, that you can stack to nirvana. But that actually would require work-hours and not a simple table-change, that you can do in like 20 seconds.

"Nurgles Foul stink" comes to mind - didn't know that stacked, but had my brayshaman-squad marching on, and only by accident noticed that sh*t stacks.

So Bear-artillery is back in place 1? ^^ 563 range by technology.....and a Frost-cast to bring it up to nearly 1000.

No more hero spam from killing Tamur either. Hell they nerfed it so hard it's a waste of a slot now.

Also Vlad nerfs.

Tomb Scorpion ^^ some love for TK.....as per rules. I guess stalk is a bit overkill for the unit *cough* (even if it does have it, kinda)

They should had changed the passive to the same aura Skaven engineers have. A non stacking aura.

So they basically made the Hero version of the trait useless... 10% increase only to the character, meaning it gets 126.5 range. Absolute trash lmao.

Here we go again with the "balance a single player game" ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ because... reasons? Let people have silly fun omg.

Who does it hurt if you have the opportunity to create an army with 5-6 stacked hochland scope heroes?

It only hurts players by removing a fun army option, does not help anyone... absolutely dumb change.

But hey, it's not like this is news... they've always been anti-fun with this "streamline everything" mentality.

^I agree with you, shall people have fun, the way they like and not further cripple them.
I was using only 1 per army and never did stack it.....but I was eager to get it for each and any of my armies ^^ and even scummed for a bit...

If one have to use 4-8 of them and some gunners, then so let them for FS.
THe nerfs are getting a bit silly and bonkers nowadays.

edit: if they want to fix something, maybe apply the TK-rule to the Thunderthingie.....and make it recruitable 1 per certain T5 building.

The most bonkers unit next to some chaos dawi artillery on field....but they are limited, so am fine with it.

Bear artillery was always the best and no one can convince me otherwise. Bears > all.

Except possibly giant prancing kitties (Tomb Kings), but they don't pull artillery, so...

No, it didn’t “need” to happen. This same mentality is what they did at the start of WH3 when they got rid of winds of magic reserves.

Sanitizing the game for the sake of stupid “balance” just takes out the flavor and fun. Stop changing a single player game for multiplayer.

What is even the sodding point of having traits? They’re almost entirely worthless. Rather than nerfing the ones people actually used, just change other traits to also be army wide. If you’re going to put a mechanic in the game, make it actually worth engaging with.

For the life of me I cannot understand why developers put in systems in a game only for them to effectively balance it to irrelevance.

all the bear-stuff is brutal, am used to BM ambushes prior that campaign. But bear sleds ..tricky. BM have usually the ambush-boost....while the sled is brutal.

Yea....I just have an mp-campaign going where I sat and tried to get this hero-trait for my armies for fun, now its useless. Thank you CA....

It takes a long time to get hochland scope trait heroes, it's just the same BS they did with the wood elves to nerf their range.
