Herald not upgrading

I have a lvl 19 Herald of Nurgle lord now and havent had the dilemma pop up to upgrade. Is there some criteria im missing?

As far as i know reaching level 15 is the only requirement, sometimes it can trigger the turn after.

As far as i have gathered (could be wrong so take it with a pinch of salt), the event is script based and the scripts in totalwar warhammer have always been a tad on the fragile side (they easily bug out, especially if mods are involved, i believe its one of the main reasons Norsca's hunts often break as well).

So it unfortunately sounds like it got bugged.

The bug fix community mod fix this, also even if it worked it won't give your daemon prince the bonus of ascension from herald, this mod fix it also !

grim, any way to trigger it retrospectively? this game man...

Possible you may have clicked the pop up by mistake ? You can either acend, delay for 10 turns i think it is, or continue on as a herald.. If you clicked by a mistake then there might be a chance later, or maybe you forfitted your chance to acend.

I've never had a herald fail to upgrade before, except for early Immortal Empires (bugged update) so ... it begs the question, do you have mods? Do you click through your events really fast? Or is this something others has started experiencing?

When the script is there, it seems to be fairly solid, so my money is on a mod replacing the script (by mistake) or clicking past it.
