Enchanted Item Lost? ???

So I hit end turn, and when the turn was over, I got a message that one of my blue items (Blessed Helm of the Oblast) was lost.
The holder of the item was not defeated in battle. In fact, he was not in combat at all over the end turn.
I have never had this happen to me in thousands of hours played.
Anyone else have an item just get randomly lost?

Yeah got the same on the Changeling.

Seems like these are new temporary items.

Does anyone know, if special quest items are safe or are they disappearing, too?

Seems safe.

In my case this was a new item, a rare / blue book which activates 3 spells at the same time on the target. IIRC Fate of Bjuna and two other effects.

Pretty overpowered, so i figured this was meant to be temporary.

It cast's a random of the 3, not all 3..

Yeah whatever, this was definitely a new item with way too many properties
