For Tamurkhan I prefer to use non daemonic unit's over daemons.
While for Epidimius I lean heavily into his theme of plaguebearers and unit's that are ridden by plaguebearers.
But in general I will have 5 frontline type infantry for Nurgle. 2 Soulgrinders. 3 Plaguehounds to hunt down archers. No more then 2 Sems like toad dragons or greater unclean ones. Generally 2 big shock cavalry. A separate mage hero as my main caster. A cultist for movement on the map. Then generally 2 exalted heroes as my goonsquad that hunt down enemy characters. The last 3 slots are generally monstrous variants, either trolls, ogres or the ever lovable beasts of Nurgle.
Also heroes are quite valuable, Tamurkhan can use his chieftains but it is better to add a nurgle caster.
Kugath is the ultimate Nurgle theme of really liking group hugs. Especially if you get his Mortis Engine effect.
Haven't played Epidemus, yet.
This is enough for me to switch it up a little. Cheers!
