Is endgame crisis bugged?
I have played 2 campaigns so far where I set the endgame crisis to occur between turns 60-70 and 70-80. In both campaigns it was set to Vampiric Ascension. In neither campaign did it actually happen. I didn't get a warning, no armies spawned, nothing happened. First campaign was as Zhao Ming, the other was as Skarbrand. From what I've seen all the vampire factions were wiped out by the time it was supposed to happen, but shouldn't endgame crisis spawn armies anyway even if every faction belonging to its race is wiped out?

I am using multiple mods but none of them broke endgame crisis in the past. I'd just like to know if other people are encountering this issue. If not, then it might be one of my mods. If you do, then I must've never noticed it or it was a recent change.

Your mods not breaking things in the past isn't a guarantee that they aren't doing so now if there has been a patch between then and now.

Maybe u also had ticked the long victory condition by accident and so it wont trigger till that? Never had issues with that but i always untick timer and start just with long victory.

I was desperatly searching for this post for i thought i can impossible be the only one.

I had "a grudge too far" ( 2 times) and "wild hunt" (2 times) in turn 50-60 in my last 4 campaigns happen despite the fact i have set them to turn 100-150.

I also have "trigger on long victory" turned on, but that wasn't the case in any of the games.

I thought it might be a known thing but couldn't find anything in the new patch.
Never was an issue for me before.

Something seem to be wonky about the crises, i don't play with campaign-changing mods.

It doesn't matter what the mod claims to do, or not do (now or in the past). A user cannot ever see what the software is doing "under the hood".

If you're having issues when playing with mods, it is safe to assume one of the mods is causing the issue.

I'm a strong proponent of people playing the way they want to (with or without mods), but mods are always use at your own risk (and that will never change).

I never changed those before and had both ticked in the past. Right now I'm playing a new campaign as Skrolk and I set it to happen at around 60-80 or so, disabled long victory, so only turn timer range is ticked now. I'm currently on turn 56. If the event doesn't happen again I'll post here. I chose vampiric ascension and the tomb kings ones this time.

mines usually happen inbetween turn 100 to 130 but only after doing one of victory conditions. since it activates ultimate victory condition. i might be wrong but i think its bound like that. not sure?

On turn 72 I received a warning about endgame crisis happening in 10 turns. I'll see if it actually begins properly and what factions are still alive and report back

The crisis started in the Skrolk game, it's Drakenhof and Barrow Legion so I guess Vlad and Ghorst are both dead. Kemmler only has 3 settlements and Mannfred is at 6. In my Skarbrand game entire south was captured by Volkmar, so Mannfred was 100% dead.

My guess would be that either something changed and now crisis just won't start if factions required for it are wiped out, or it's some kind of bug / mods messing things up.

Hi, I got same problem, I set crisis to be VC, TK and Skaven while playing Bretonia, prepared for Duke and Henrich, but none of them spawned, just skavens around Skavenblight and they were passive ( I enabled diplomacy with criris). I didnt have long victory. Like people said, in past I ahd no problem with criris, all what I enabled spawned in defined time period, now second time only skavens. I dont use any modes. DO you have some help what enable or disable to always spawn races you want either if they are wiped out or not?

The races you chose are the options for potential crisis.

You will only encounter one of them(chosen at random) unless you enable the ultimate crisis option as well.

I think you must have secured a small victory with your objectives before it happen? Do not fiddle with the options and keep it random. Also it does not matter much anymore at that point. Crisis is resolved in 2 turns with lightning strikes. My latest game rats spawned at hellpit or whats it called and got autoresolved in 2 turns with 3 armies of mine
