Warhammer lore
What exact category would dark elves, skaven, chaos dwarves be in? dark elves don't worship chaos openly but some of their deities come close to chaos gods. Skaven are chaos spawn?? like the beastmen they have chaos god and work alongside. chaos dwarves openly worship chaos deity but not the other 4?. Are they allied with all chaos or just 1?
It sounds like they are chaos neutral but if given the chance they would dominate chaos if they could

exact category? you listed 3 totally seperete factions. That allows people to categorise them how they like.

IMO elves are orer, Skaven are random( just want disorder and their rule), and chorfs want chaos to reign, but im not a lore guy, just a casual observer.

Druchii worship from the same Elven gods the Asrai and Asur do - they simply prefer Khaine's side of the family over Asuryan's.
Asrai are the ones who didn't pick a side: they tend to favor both Kurnous and Anath Raema.

Bit confusing I get it, all gods reside in the Realm of Chaos as it´s where all magic energies come from and gods are basically magical concentrations of faith and emotions.

So the three races you mentioned are nasty pieces of work, worship gods that are considered evil, but they do -not- worship the Chaos Gods (Except a small number of Dark Elf lawbreakers)

guys he has played 5 minutes total and put the game off to play something else. You are answering him why?

As said above, Elves'n'Delves share a pantheon. Skaven follow the Horned Rat, which is a minor chaos god. Chorfs follow Hashut, also a minor chaos god.

Why do you hate new players trying to get a footing on the lore of the game? And why do you spam post instead of editing a single post.

sorry i type like i talk, i cant take back words, so if i post something and someone responds i dont want them to look stupid, so i type another post and dont edit the old one, so their response is still valid. It's not a document submitted to the english teacher, its a conversation.

and he has 5 minutes, and on a new game in something else, thats not a new player. 5 mins is not enough to watch the opening cuscene 1 time and look at the available campaigns and lords. He is trolling.

If you think about it like a comic book or 90s cartoons (e.g. Gargoyles); the Dark Elves, Skaven, and Chaos Dwarves would be the secondary villains that are unaffliated with the main one. If Chaos is the Green Goblin to Spiderman of Warhammer for instance, then the Dark Elves, Skaven and Chaos Dwarfs would be Doctor Octopus, Shocker and Rhino.

thanks for the clarification, that explains the dark elfs mythos. I was confused at first about witch king and morathi, thought both worshiped chaos but it was only her in secret. Strange what hate can turn you into

I see that makes sense. It's weird hearing the horned rat and hashut are minor chaos gods yet they have a huge power scale against other factions. The big 4 really are op

Make sense, except about the skavens. What exactly are they? are they spawns of chaos through corruption from chaos?( like the beastmen) or did they spawn from chaos itself? because how else did they come to be with their own god

No one knows for sure where Skaven came from. There's a story about a town that builds a bell tower with the help of a mysterious stranger who only asked for the bell to have horns as his payment for aid. The bell rang and brought misfortune and every night the bell would ring one more time than before and bring greater troubles. When it finally rang a 13th time the entire town was empty save for rats. Whether this is their origin or just something that happened is unclear.

They are a chaos faction, but are probably the most isolated chaos faction. The Horned Rat steps on the toes of both Nurgle (plagues) and Tzeentch (schemes) and they aren't well liked by anyone, not to mention their love of backstabbing. Unlike the Chaos Dwarfs who worship Hashut and will work with any chaos faction so long as the pay is good. Incidentally that's also where Chaos Warriors get their Hellcannons and a good amount of their weapons, trading with Chaos Dwarfs. Skaven will "work" with you but will most likely betray you at the first opportunity and bail, unless they're really scared of pissing you off.
