What is Causing my Loading Screens to be so slow?

at this point im assuming its some sort of bottleneck with my pc here are the specs

RTX 3090
i7-8700 processor
16GB of Ram (Kingston ddr4-2400 1200 mhz) < I am guessing its the ram but i'm not sure? the processor would be my next best guess.

which of the 2 should I upgrade? as I definitely know its not because of my graphics card.

People, every TW game has/had this problem. Calm down, get used to it, it's somehow by design.

CA never showed any effort to cut down insane loading times in any of their games, and probably never will.

(I'm half-way glad they really worked on turn waiting times, though I'll never be sure if those freezes there are computing hickups or actual game hangups....)

It's simply part of the TW experience.....

nah its not normal and that is not on turn wait times its on loading screens specifically.

Reducing the amount of save files to a minimum that you are comfortable with, can drastically reduce load times.

nope whenever Im not playing a campaign actively I immediately delete the save file.

Sorry to disappoint you, but quite normal for nearly *every* modern TW game, especially the Warhammer I/II/II ones.

5 minutes seems a little rage exaggerated, but 2-3 minutes loading on battles and such is pretty normal, even on a high end machine.....

whether I have a browser opened or closed there is no difference as for the rest I don't download anything while playing and I have the anti-virus off during then as well. I also have usually no more than 3 save files for the 1 campaign.

I havnt had > minute load times since pre-potion of speed update in game 2, which was like 2018 ish or something.

Sounds like you have issues going on with your pc

yep and for me its solely with warhammer 3 on warhammer 2 I load into the campaign normally in about 45 seconds or so.

Nah, then watch some TW WH3 official tournament battles, 2 minutes at least to load on their sponsored high end machines.....

Skirmish battles should load even faster. 2min loadings for that is strange.

That is really odd since war2 works just fine. Sounds like it may be a problem with your current installation.

Just for a point of reference, I have an aging pc i bought back in 2020-21, it was mid tier at the time, and today with all the same parts I get 30 second load times if I turn textures down to medium.

I have a worse rtx than you and a basic ♥♥♥♥♥ samsung ssd, with 16 gigs of ram.

What do you mean "aging". I bought my comp in 2011 and it works fine (although only really the case remains of the original)

Those AAA game are designed to run on current high-end hardware, often with a brand/logo advertising which is best.

So if you suffer performance probs, you haven't bought your yearly 5k$ machine of one or the other brand, or upgraded your hardware, which you were expected to do so....

In 10 years this game will load like a breeze - like every older title does. Just don't expect to run WH3 fluently on anything older than 3 months....
