Overuse of voice lines in newer characters
Something I'd noticed recently, is that new characters being released seem to speak more often on the campaign map. At first its pretty great, hearing some new voice lines, but as with most things in life: familiarity breeds contempt.

I'm already really, really tired of Changelings handful of voicelines he incessantly jabbers. And my friend who was sitting watching me play this weekend commented "Wow, that Ostankya just never shuts up does she?"

So its clearly not just me that notices it. And I never had this problem with Warhammer 1&2 characters (Malus being the obvious exception).

Anyone else bothered by it? Or is it something most people can just ignore?

Sounds like an old CA writer got off the office.

I've heard the lines you mention I think they are over the top, next step going to be a LL reading a book on him being clicked.

Character lines should be short and on point, not in style of some lore youtube video only nerds would be watching.

Can I introduce you to "MARKUS WULFHART""MARKUS WULFHART""MARKUS WULFHART""MARKUS WULFHART""MARKUS WULFHART""MARKUS WULFHART""MARKUS WULFHART" while you click through your characters levelling them up every turn.

Yes! Exactly! Short and simple is so much better for this kind of game I think, when you're constantly clicking between characters.

okay fair point, maybe there are a few that could use an extra line or two.

Never noticed this.
Hopefully I won't after having read this post.

One thing that I always found annoying regarding voice lines is Isabella in battle:

"Quickly! Swiftly! Quickly! Swiftly! Quickly! Swiftly!"

Haven't played Isabella in many years yet I still remember how annoying that was.

On a similar note, anyone notice how whenever you select game 3/some game 2 DLC Lords or Heroes from a faction you're not playing, they'll only say 'movement' related lines?

ie. select a General of the Empire: 'THE EMPIRE'
select a Huntsman General of the Empire: "I WILL", "AGREED" etc

very odd

I haven't really noticed it.

My patience was tempered in the forge that is the second game while playing skaven, and listening to the following over and over again:

"Eehhh, patchy fur. Not trrusted yet"
"Shall I keell gouge you?"
"Wear loafers"
