There are towers buildable and wall based ones, walls and gates. I don't think you have played very much.

Why be angry at players not having fun at sieges? Should you not be angry at CA for failing to make them fun?
2 max in town and the wall ones got nerfed in both range and effectiveness to the point you can just ignore them if you dont want to bother using a cannon

because the players whined a good system into the miserable state its in now
towns hold no defensive value anymore, wich speeds up the game, from pointless fight to pointless fight never stopping never needing to think
towns being a hurdle slowed the entire campaign down, making thinking necessary and forcing some strategy into this strategy game
the people that whernt going to play them anyway as they autoresolve every fight have removed a gameplay mechanic i enjoyed from the game and now they find out that its still not good enough because nothing will ever be as they will continue to autoresolve anyway

the nerfed system doesnt even make the cappoints relevant anymore
just hunker in a corner and pretend your smart as you abuse the chokepoint
just like the dumb sieges in game 1 and 2
screw all the mobile factions or the concept of layered defense thats actually fun to play

I didnt' say anything about game 2... So saying that I did and going further to say that I sound dumb actually makes you sound kinda dumb... Plz don't bring your bad attitude to my thread. This thread was intended to be funny. If you don't like my humor a fail to see it I don't need or desire your negativity. Have a nice day...

In-battle settlement layout is terrible too. The settlements feel more like a moba map.. Why not have a more realistic feel?

Like if a particular settlement would have been designed by a smart architech then positions of towers and other deployables should make more sense as opposed to just sticking a tower way out somewhere that doesn't even make sense tactically. Attacking a settlement, especially a fortified one, should be hard. I'm not saying nerf them. I'm saying make them make more sense instead of feeling like an arcade or moba.. In a real siege you'd need to use siege equipment like artillery and such.

Yeah lining up archers in front of walls or sending your single entities to wipe out all 60 enemy units is very difficult.

I am totally auto resolving battles because game is so hard when my lord can solo multiple armies...

2) capture gates with single-entities to let the rest of your army in
3) tell your army to enter the city through the gate
4) have your entire army bunch up at the ladder
CA also just auto-resolves seiges when they playtested this game

siege in TWWH3

1) send dudes to put ladders on wall
2) watch as dudes you sent decide to stop underneath wall tower and get dumped on
3) try to reposition dudes you sent to put ladders on wall but instead they decide to take the scenic route on a nature walk in the opposite direction
4) other dudes you sent to put ladders up the wall finally make it but now getting trained by multiple enemy units
5) gate finally gets knocked down
6) try to guide one squad in at a time in a thing narrow line of dudes but end up with a massive cluster fk
7) get unfk'd and kick enemy @$$
8) enemy gets spanked but then you see end game result and realized you'd have lost far less if you had just autoresolved

4-7 are why i enjoy the current seiges, 8 is the only downside i see, and 1-3 i rarely do or encounter too much

1-3 happens every time for me. Though, perhaps there are ways I can mitigate these issues. Using heros to bait seems to be a good tactic I hear. There probably are some things I can do. I had about given up on offensive sieges. You know, actually playing the battle out.
