How good is Yuan Bo?
I remember the Cathay Dragons being buggy and have trouble killing infantry/lords. They have trouble hitting single target units. Is it the same with the dlc dragon?

Dunno about other people as perhaps they have a different experience but for me they still have a bit of an issue hitting single targets but when they do usually its a pretty decent amount of damage, Plus when his in his human form he gets that sword drop ability which executes lords so thats pretty dope

Yuan Bo is the same as other Cathay Dragons, but buggier (even after the fixes). In dragon mode he might hit 1/10 times he "should" have hit, because his animations are so bad.

I don't understand why animations are problems for hiting.
If you have a good attack you can hit every time.

For me even if Yuan Bo doesn't hit exactly the opponent model during the animation, I see his life points decrease.
Only attack and defense points are used to determine if it hits when your lord is in melee, even if you see your lord attack miss the opponent you can hit.

AOE attacks work slightly differently, having an area of effect rather than just attack vs defense. For AOE melee attacks, the AOE follows the unit making it. Yuan Bo has short term AOEs, and he moves ALOT during combat (and the movement doesnt count as part of the attack, even though its part of the attack animation), so he moves out of range of enemies before his attack is counted (due to his wonky animations). He also has/had timing issues, where his AOE did knockback BEFORE damage for a couple attacks (Im not sure how they screwed that one up), so he would literally knock everyone out of his attack range, causing no damage to be dealt.

I think the timing issue was fixed, but the attack animations are still ♥♥♥♥ and cause regular misses.
